Examination Advice: Victorian LOTE Written Examinations

Teachers and students are advised that the numbering of questions in the Victorian First and Second Language written examinations will change from and including 2009.

Previously, questions were numbered continuously throughout the examination from 1 (Question 1, Question 2, Question 3, etc.).

From 2009, each examination text will be numbered from 1 (Text 1, Text 2, Text 3, etc.), but questions on each text will use letters, as illustrated in the following examples:

  • Text 1, Question 1a., b., c., etc.
  • Text 2, Question 2a., b., c., etc.

This change applies to the following examinations:

Arabic, Chinese First Language, Chinese Second Language, Chinese Second Language Advanced, French, German, Greek, Indonesian First Language, Indonesian Second Language, Italian, Japanese First Language, Japanese Second Language, Korean First Language, Korean Second Language, Spanish and Vietnamese.

The numbering on CCAFL examinations will remain unchanged.
