Notice 29 2020

Notice to Schools 29/2020 – 26 February 2020

Top Screen 2020 – tickets available and selling fast

Principals/Directors, VCE Coordinators and teachers of Media

Tickets for Top Screen 2020 screenings and education programs are now available. While ACMI is being renovated, the screenings will take place offsite at Treasury Theatre and The Capitol.

Showcasing a range of outstanding short films made by VCE Media students from last year, the festival provides an excellent opportunity for current teachers and students to be inspired by some of the state's most talented emerging filmmakers.

Teachers are reminded to book early, as space is limited and most screenings sell out.

For students at schools unable to attend screenings during the school term, there is a School Holiday Screening and Production Design Intensive delivered by the VCE State Reviewer for Media, Renee Paxton. This year, it is taking place at 10am on Wednesday 1 April 2020 at Treasury Theatre.

The annual VCE Season of Excellence comprises 12 concerts (Top Class and Top Acts), two exhibitions (Top Designs and Top Arts), a research presentation program (Top Talks) and multiple short film screenings (Top Screen), presented in Melbourne’s most prestigious cultural venues.

The full VCE Season of Excellence program, including dates, venues and booking details, is available on the Season webpage.
