The VCAA, in collaboration with the Victorian Aboriginal Education Association Inc (VAEAI) and the Victorian Aboriginal Corporation for Languages (VACL), has developed a set of sample Victorian Aboriginal Languages units of work using culturally appropriate topics suitable for use with the Victorian Curriculum F–10: Victorian Aboriginal Languages curriculum. These are being published progressively.
These units of work are provided as examples to illustrate how elements from the Victorian Aboriginal Languages curriculum could be organised by teachers into a teaching and learning program.
The sample units are not intended as prescribed or preferred topics for inclusion in a teaching and learning program or curriculum area plan. Further information about the essential elements to incorporate when developing units of work and curriculum area plans can be accessed from the
Curriculum Planning Portal.
