Schools

All schools intending to deliver senior and/or foundation secondary courses must comply with the associated minimum standards for registration and the conditions set by the VCAA (Education and Training Reform Regulations 2017, Schedule 8).

Permission to deliver VCE studies and/or VPC studies

The VCAA permits schools to deliver the VCE on a year-by-year basis for the first three years of VCE delivery. Schools can apply for studies in the year prior to intended delivery. This includes VCE VM and VPC studies.

Government schools

Must contact the School Registration Unit at Department of Education (DE) before commencing their permission to deliver process. DE will advise schools of the VRQA and VCAA timelines and processes and will support schools to complete their VRQA and VCAA applications. Their email address is school.registration@education.vic.gov.au

All government school applications for permission to deliver VCE studies and/or VPC studies are to be submitted directly to the VCAA permissions inbox.

Catholic schools

Before commencing their application, Catholic schools must contact their respective Diocese, who will support schools to complete their application.

Victorian Catholic Education Authority (VCEA) will submit applications on behalf of the school to the VCAA. Their email address is: seniorsecondary@vcea.catholic.edu.au

Independent schools

Independent schools must submit evidence for permission to deliver the VCE and/or the VPC as part of their registration process with the VRQA.

For information on registration, visit the VRQA.

Schools adding a new campus

Providers opening a new campus need to go through a registration process with the VRQA. There is no requirement for a school to complete a permission to deliver process for a new campus application where the mode of delivery is the same as the original campus.

Where the mode of delivery is different i.e. a virtual campus, a virtual campus permission to deliver application needs to be completed. This requires schools to complete the virtual campus administrative requirements form to the VCAA. Providers who are intending to deliver the VCE virtually must contact the VRQA.

Any virtual campus that is currently delivering the VCE and/or the VPC virtually, must complete a permission to deliver application process.
