2022 VCE assessor applications
Principals/directors and VCE Units 3 and 4 teachers
Applications are open to be an assessor for 2022 VCE external assessments.
Apply online via
Sessional Staff Management System (SSMS).
Further information related to the recruitment of assessors for the General Achievement Test (GAT) will be released separately.
Applicants must show evidence of being fully COVID-19 vaccinated or having a medical exception. Go to the
COVID-19 vaccine information for all education staff page for more information.

Critical dates
- Sunday 24 April – closing date for English, English as an Additional Language, English Language, Literature and Extended Investigation Externally-assessed Task (written reports and oral presentation) applications
- Friday 22 April – closing date for Performing Arts (performance) examinations, Music Style and Composition externally-assessed task and Language examinations (oral and written components) applications
- Friday 24 June – closing date for VCE written examinations applications

If you are selected to be an assessor, you will need to hold a current satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC).
Assessors of Language oral and Performance examinations will also need to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC). Teachers in this category with current VIT registration will not need to undertake an additional WWCC but must notify WWCC Victoria of this work. Go to WWCC Victoria for the relevant
