Senior Secondary Completion and Achievement Information for 2023 is
now available.
With the introduction of the VCE Vocational Major (VM) and the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC), the VCAA has adopted 9 new data points and updated 4 existing data points to its annually published school-level data. These changes reflect the varied pathways available for senior secondary students to complete their secondary school education in Victoria.
New and updated datapoints will report on a wider range of school programs, student cohorts and student achievements, inclusive of the VCE VM, the VPC, Higher Education studies (HES), School-based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs) and Northern Hemisphere Timetable (NHT) delivery.
Notably, the data reported for ‘Percentage of satisfactory VCE completions’ is now inclusive of the VCE VM cohort. Due to this change, the datapoint is not comparable to previous years.
New datapoints include:
- Number of students awarded the VCE Vocational Major (VM)
- Number of students awarded the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC)
- Enrolment(s) in VCE Vocational Major (VM) unit(s)
- Enrolment(s) in the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC)
- Enrolments in Northern Hemisphere Timetable (NHT) delivery at Units 3 and 4 level
- Number of Higher Education studies (HES) with enrolments
- Number of students enrolled in a Higher Education study (HES)
- Percentage of Higher Education studies (HES) completed
- Number of students enrolled in a School-based Apprenticeship or Traineeship (SBAT)
