2024 validation of student email addresses
Principals/Directors, VCE, VCE VM, VPC and VET coordinators, and VASS administrators
Further to Notice to Schools 98, on Friday 11 October the VCAA will send a 'Confirmation Email Registration for Results Delivery’ to all students enrolled in one or more VCE, VCE VM, or scored VCE VET Unit 3−4 sequence. This confirmation emails will only be received by students with valid email addresses entered in VASS by their home school prior to Friday 11 October.
Students should be made aware that the sender of the confirmation email will appear as: vass.support@education.vic.gov.au, and the subject of the email will be 'Confirmation Email Registration for Results Delivery'.
Students have until Monday 11 November to update or amend their email address with their school, for entry into VASS prior to their final results email.
In late October, the VCAA will send a second email containing sample results to show students what they can expect in their end of year results email. The sample results included in the email will NOT be the student’s actual, real, or expected results.
The VCAA will send a final confirmation email in November. No action is required by students when they receive any of these emails.
Action
Principals/Directors, please inform current students who:
- are enrolled in one or more VCE, VCE VM, or scored VCE VET Unit 3−4 sequence; and
- have an email address recorded in VASS
to expect a Confirmation Email Registration for Results Delivery email in October.
Please advise students that if they do not receive the registration email by mid-October, they should check their email Spam folder and schools should check enrolment records and contact the VCAA Student Records and Results Unit (contact details in More information below).
Critical dates
Friday 11 October – email address validation will commence
Monday 11 November – final date for students to update or amend their email address with their school, for entry into VASS prior to their final results email.

Final student results will be sent to their email address as recorded on VASS from 7am AEST Thursday 12 December.
Students with validated email addresses can apply for Statement of Marks and Statement of Study Score to be emailed directly to them following results release.
