Permissions for expanded access to VCE VM Work Related Skills and Personal Development Skills from 2025
Principals/Directors, assistant principals, and VCE coordinators
From 2025, schools will be able to offer VCE VM Work Related Skills (WRS) and Personal Development Skills (PDS) to all VCE students – refer to
Notice to Schools 178 from 2023.
Please note that all providers wishing to deliver VCE VM studies, including WRS and PDS, must first have obtained formal permission to do so from the VCAA. This includes providers that have completed the VCE permission process and obtained open access to enrol in all VCE studies on VASS. Permission to deliver VCE VM studies is permitted once, for the duration of a school’s registration.
Applications for permission to deliver the VCE, including VM studies, from 2025 closed on 30 June 2024.
Providers wishing to begin delivering VCE VM WRS and/or PDS that did not submit a permission application by this date and do not already hold permission to deliver these studies will:
- not be able to deliver these studies in 2025
- need to apply in 2025 for permission to deliver these studies from 2026 (this application process will open in early 2025).
For more information regarding expanded access to VCE VM WRS and PDS from 2025, including permissions, assessment and timetabling, please refer to the Expanded Access to VCE VM WRS and PDS 2025 webinar.
