2024 General Achievement Test (GAT) – student timetables and Special Examination Arrangements
Principals/Directors, VCE coordinators and VASS administrators
Student assessment timetables and examination centre summary reports for the 2024 General Achievement Test (GAT) are now available on VASS.
Special Examination Arrangements (SEA) advice slips and summary reports will be progressively available on VASS.
VASS administrators are encouraged to refer to the 
GAT VASS guide before producing and distributing student assessment timetables and SEA advice slips.
Please note: student assessment timetables or SEA advice slips printed before Monday 13 May must be discarded.
Emergency Special Examination Arrangements
For students requiring Emergency Special Examination Arrangements due to sudden illness, an accident or personal trauma immediately before or during the 2024 GAT, schools must submit an Application for Emergency Special Arrangements form, available from VASS (SYSTEM ADMIN > Downloads) from Monday 3 June.
Action
Principals/Directors, please make sure to:
- produce and distribute 2024 GAT student assessment timetables to all students
- ensure 2024 GAT SEA advice slips are:
- discussed and clearly understood by students, chief supervisors, school personnel, and any approved supervisors, clarifiers, readers, scribes and interpreters
- produced and distributed to students, chief supervisors and school personnel responsible for the conduct and administration of the GAT.
Critical dates
- W/C Monday 13 May – student assessment timetables and Special Examination Arrangements advice slips available on VASS
- Tuesday 18 June – General Achievement Test (GAT) held
