Physical Education rubric samples
There are two formative assessment rubric samples for Physical Education:
- Understanding movement and the elements of movement Foundation - Level 6
- Invasion, net/wall, striking and fielding games Level 7 - 10
For each sample there is a document which includes the formative assessment rubric, a detailed explanation of the tasks the students undertake, the ordering of the tasks, and the associated materials to record student results. The ‘Action’ videos are samples of students performing the tasks. Each video sample is annotated against the phases in the formative assessment rubric. Teachers are advised to read the rubric and task descriptions before viewing the videos.
Understanding movement and the elements of movement Foundation – Level 6
This formative assessment rubric supports the explicit teaching of understanding movement and the elements of movement from Foundation to Level 6. Video footage is provided as evidence of students performing some of skills outlined in each action in the rubric. Teachers are advised to access the document before viewing the video footage.
