Victorian Curriculum F–10 Version 2.0 Reference Panel

Expressions of interest to join Victorian Curriculum F-10 Classical Languages reference panel

Teachers and relevant stakeholders are invited to participate on the Classical Languages reference panel, to revise the following F-10 curriculums:

  • Latin
  • Classical Greek
  • Framework for Classical Languages

Expressions of interest applications close midnight, Sunday 16 June, 2024.

This revision will incorporate and refine content from the Australian Curriculum Version 9.0 to make it more streamlined for teachers to implement efficiently and effectively.

What the panels will do

As a panel member you will have the opportunity to ensure that the Victorian Curriculum F-10 continues to be a high-quality, relevant curriculum that meets the needs of students and teachers across the state.

Reference panels will provide advice about the ways the curriculum needs to be revised and improved in order to best meet the needs of the students for whom it is specifically designed. Input from practising teachers and discipline experts is essential to this process.

Panels will consist of 10 to 12 members from schools, universities, training, industry and business sectors and are appointed based on their expertise and capacity to contribute to the review process.

The work of these panels is expected to take place from approximately June 2024 – October 2024. Panel members will need to commit to approx 4-5 meetings over this time.  Meetings may be a combination of both after-school (online) or all-day (hybrid).

Work on the reference panels is voluntary. CRT payments are available to schools for the release of panel members to attend meetings during school hours.

For questions about this position, please contact the VCAA Victorian Curriculum F-10 Revision Project team on 97022 1306 or email: vcaa.f10.revisionproject@education.vic.gov.au.
