Explore the updated F–10 Curriculum webpages
The
F–10 Curriculum section of the VCAA website has recently been updated, incorporating new navigation options that make it easier for teachers to find resources to help them plan, teach and assess.
Resources to support specific curriculum areas can be found on the
Curriculum Area Resources webpage, with resources for cross-curriculum areas, such as Literacy, Numeracy, STEM and Respectful Relationships, found via the
Cross-curriculum Resources webpage.
The resources are each organised under three sections:
-
Help me plan – for example, curriculum mapping templates, scope and sequence documents
-
Help me find a teaching resource – for example, sample units of work
-
Help me assess – for example, annotated work samples and indicative progress templates.
We encourage you to visit the updated F–10 Curriculum webpages to explore and download the range of free curriculum implementation support resources.

Access free online language assessments
The VCAA offers free online language assessments in eight languages – Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Modern Greek and Spanish – that can be used to support the teaching of Languages from Levels 5 and 6. These online assessments have been developed with the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER).

Download new Health and Physical Education posters
The VCAA has developed
four downloadable resources to support teachers in the assessment of the Movement and Physical Activity strand of the Health and Physical Education curriculum F–6. The four posters cover Foundation, Levels 1 and 2, Levels 3 and 4, and Levels 5 and 6.
Each poster unpacks three sub-strands:
- Moving the body
- Understanding movement
- Learning through movement.
The skills and knowledge that students are expected to develop as they progress in Health and Physical Education are listed under each sub-strand, along with examples of what a student might do if they are demonstrating achievement of the standard in that specific curriculum level or band.
Teachers and schools are encouraged to download, print, laminate and display the posters.
