VCE Leadership Awards 2022

2022 VCE Leadership finalists

Congratulations to this year’s selected VCE Leaders:

The 8 VCE Leaders have undergone an interview process, from which one will be selected as the 2022 VCE Leader of the Year.

The VCE Leader of the Year will be announced at the VCE Leadership Awards ceremony on Friday 16 September at Treasury Theatre. All VCE Leaders will be presented with prizes from our sponsor Lenovo.

Applications for the VCE Season of Excellence 2023 and Margaret Schofield Memorial Scholarships are now open!

We are pleased to announce that applications for the VCE Season of Excellence 2023 and Margaret Schofield Memorial Scholarships are open.

Eligible students are invited to apply for the following opportunities:

  • Top Designs
    Students of VCE Systems Engineering, Media, Visual Communication Design, Product Design and Technology, and VCE VET Creative and Digital Media, Engineering Studies, Furnishing, Integrated Technologies, and Music (Sound Production)
  • Top Screen
    VCE Media Film students only
  • Top Class Sound
    Students of VCE Music Performance, Music Investigation and VCE VET Music (Performance)
  • Margaret Schofield Memorial Scholarships
    Government school students of VCE Music Performance, Music Investigation, Music Style and Composition and VCE VET Music

Top Designs and Top Screen applications, except for VCE VET studies, close at 11.59pm on Monday 17 October.

Applications for Top Designs VCE VET studies, Top Class Sound and the Margaret Schofield Memorial Scholarships close at 11.59pm on Wednesday 16 November.

PESA national winner 2022

The Plain English Speaking Award national final was held on Friday 2 September.

Victoria was represented by Anna Blinks van-Broekhoven from Waverley Christian College, who won the Victorian State Final in July. She was joined by Penelope Jin from Queenwood (NSW), Jessica Grasser from University Senior College (SA), Subi Thomas from Hale School (WA), Serina Guo from Canberra Girls' Grammar (ACT) and Aditya Naik from Somerset College (Qld).

Anna spoke on discrimination against disability in the public transport system, invoking her personal experience alongside extensive research. Congratulations to this year's winner Jessica Grasser from University Senior College (SA) for their speech on sexual assault and domestic violence.
