Applications to be an assessor or lead assessor for the 2023 VCE external assessments, including the General Achievement Test (GAT), are now open.

Apply through the Sessional Staff Management System (SSMS).

Critical dates

• 24 February – closing date for GAT lead assessor applications (both Sections A and B)
• 24 March – closing date for lead assessor applications for VCE examinations
• 7 April – closing date for GAT (Sections A and B), English, English as an Additional Language, English Language and Literature examinations applications, and Extended Investigation (Critical Thinking Test, written report and oral presentation) assessor applications
• 14 April – closing date for Language (oral and written) examinations, Performing Arts (performance) examinations and Music Composition and Music Inquiry externally assessed task assessor applications
• 5 May – closing date for VCE written examination assessor applications

Additional

Assessors must:

• comply with the Department of Education’s current vaccination policy
• have a current VIT registration or hold a current satisfactory Department of Education NCHRC
• hold a current Working with Children Check (for Languages oral and Arts performance assessors only)
