1. VCE results are released 
2. Student applies for Statement of Marks and Inspection Response Materials
3. Student and teacher inspect the Examination Response
4. Principal endorses the alleged marking error
5. Principal submits completed application form to VCAA
6. VCAA undertakes the scores review process
7. VCAA informs the school of the outcome

Confirmation of grades (administrative check)

1. VCE results are released
2. Principal identifies grade received is significantly lower
3. Principal submits application form to VCAA
4. VCAA completes an administrative check of results
5. Principals are informed of the outcome
