Early Years Planning Cycle Resource for the VEYLDF

This resource was developed with Dr Caroline Cohrssen, Honorary (Professorial Fellow), Melbourne Graduate School of Education, University of Melbourne, to:

  • demonstrate how the VEYLDF Early Years Planning Cycle can be applied to observe, assess and respond to evidence of children’s learning
  • illustrate and provide a model for the teaching of specific concepts to children aged from birth to eight years within everyday learning environments.

This full-colour edition builds on the previous Planning Cycle Resources early childhood professionals may be familiar with.

This resource is available as an accessible PDF (see below).

A set of videos, featuring Dr Cohrssen, has been developed to introduce and familiarise early childhood professionals with the concepts and strategies in the resource. Watch videos.
