Evaluation of VEYLDF (2016) Implementation
The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), in partnership with Department of Education and Training (DET), is leading an evaluation of Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF 2016) implementation.
The purpose of the project is to evaluate the extent to which the VEYLDF 2016 revisions have been effectively communicated to the sector, and the extent to which early childhood professionals have incorporated the 2016 VEYLDF into their practice.
Synergistiq, a research consultancy, commenced the evaluation in November 2019. The move to remote learning for periods in 2020 meant that project schedule was interrupted. With the return to face-to-face learning, the project has resumed and is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2021.
We thank all those who participated in our first round of data collection in 2020. This included an online survey and key stakeholder interviews. The second round of data collection involved small group forums across regions and sectors with a range of stakeholders in March.
Contact us at veyldf@education.vic.gov.au if you have any questions about the project.
