Why does the Victorian Curriculum F–10 include a Visual Communication Design curriculum for Levels 7–10?

The inclusion of the Visual Communication Design Levels 7–10 ensures that The Arts curriculum includes the major Arts based disciplines that underpin contemporary arts and design practices. This curriculum provides more specific content related to design, building on the references to design in Visual Arts curriculum F–6. The Visual Communication Design curriculum provides a pathway for students wanting to undertake careers in the design industry.
