Early Years focus groups share insights into the future of early childhood education
The VCAA extends its sincere gratitude to all school principals, teachers and early childhood educators who engaged in the recent Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) Revision focus groups and online survey. With over 1,150 responses, the VCAA has received great input from schools and early childhood educators eager to contribute to the revision process. The invaluable insights shared during these consultations will play an important role in shaping the revised VEYLDF, ensuring that it effectively supports educators and other early years professionals in their work with children and families across the entire birth – 8 year period.
The VCAA is now seeking input from children and families through an engaging questionnaire centred on Partnerships with Families and the five Learning and Development Outcomes. We're using a distinct approach to engage children in conversations through informal discussions and play, recognising the importance of their voices and families in shaping the VEYLDF Revision. Your community's participation is vital. If you’re interested in participating in the Children and Family Voice survey, please email veyldf@education.vic.gov.au to get involved.
