Inspire, Learn, Network – involvement at the 2024 Principals Conference

The 2024 Government Schools Principals Conference was held on Monday 29 July. Hosted by the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership and attended by over 2500 Victorian school principals and assistant principals, this annual conference is all about professional learning and connecting and collaborating with fellow educators.

Curriculum Revisions Acting Director Leyna Buller and Curriculum Division Executive Director Jason Smallwood represented the VCAA at this event by providing an interactive presentation delving into he Victorian Curriculum F–10 Version 2.0 which was released late June. They were accompanied by Assessment Policy – Strategy and Development Director Taylor Ashton and English Assessment Lead Zahara Forte, Acting Senior Policy and Strategic Advisor (F-10 revision) Alex Louie and F-10 Unit Manager Sam Cunningham who supported school leaders with their burning questions at the VCAA Booth.

The theme of this year’s event was 'Leading together: inspire, learn, network' - school leaders attended sessions with renowned educators about collaborative leadership, joined interactive workshops, and learnt, reflected and networked with other principals and assistant principals.
