Alexandra

There is not a day that I spend with horses that I don't dawn upon
at least one piece of information that I learned through VET.

SUCCESS STORY
Alexandra
Stable Hand, Riding Instructor,
studying a Bachelor of Psychology

Why I chose VET

I wanted to study Equine Industry in my VCE to increase my knowledge about general horse care and health and to increase my employability in the equine industry.

What I got out of VET

The knowledge that I acquired from VET has assisted me in becoming a proficient horse owner and carer. The information on equine structure and movement that the Certificate II Equine Studies taught me gave me a solid foundation of knowledge which enables me to get the most out of the clinics and courses that I have completed.

My VET success story

VET equipped me with the essential skills that I needed to enter the equine industry as an informed, competent, and skilled stable hand. Since completing my Certificate II in Equine Studies, I have gone on to work as a Stable Hand and Instructor at Avoca Park Equestrian. I am also in the process of becoming a qualified Equestrian Australia Introductory Coach and licensed teacher in the School Légèreté.

My advice

Ensure you have a solid understanding of the concepts you study throughout the course because the knowledge and skills will be useful in your future.
