Student Achievement Profile summary for mid-year school leavers 

Principals/Directors, VASS Administrators and VCE, VCE VM and VPC Coordinators

Eligible senior secondary students exiting school mid-year without a qualification can be issued a Student Achievement Profile (SAP) summary in 2026 through VASS.

The SAP summary presents a holistic strengths-based overview of a student’s achievements captured during their senior secondary education and complements the Statement of Results.

It is available to VCE and VPC students exiting senior secondary schooling before completing their full certificate requirements. Additional eligibility requirements are as follows: 

• VCE students must have satisfactorily completed at least 8 units but not have completed the VCE.
• VPC students must have satisfactorily completed at least one unit but not have completed the VCE.

Schools can apply for a SAP summary on behalf of eligible students via VASS. For instructions, refer to:

Students who meet the eligibility requirements will have their SAP summary issued to their home address. If a student’s home address has changed, schools should email Student Records and Results: student.records@education.vic.gov.au

Critical dates

For students leaving school mid-year, schools must request a SAP summary before Monday 15 June in order for school leavers to receive their SAP summary mid-year.

Please note that applications made after this date will still be issued, however not until the end-of-year summary issuance.
