VCE Evidence Requirements

All providers applying to deliver the VCE must provide evidence to demonstrate their capacity to deliver the curriculum and assessment of the relevant course.

Additionally, providers at all stages of the process, need to provide evidence to demonstrate their capacity to manage the administrative requirements associated with the delivery of the relevant course.

All providers wishing to deliver the VCE VM and/or the VPC must apply for permission to deliver VCE VM studies and/or VPC studies in the year preceding their planned delivery.

Providers seeking permission to deliver VCE studies are required to complete a three-year process as detailed below:

The provider submits:

  • Curriculum and assessment plans for all Units 1 and 2 studies planned for delivery (including VCE VM studies).
  • Administrative requirements documents
  • VET Program Advice
  • Eligible Learning Program – VCE VM studies only

The provider submits:

  • Curriculum delivery plans for selected sample of Units 1 and 2 studies. This sample is determined by the VCAA. (Curriculum and assessment plans are required for all VCE VM Studies)
  • Assessment plans for all Units 3 and 4 studies planned for delivery (including VCE VM studies)
  • Administrative requirements documents (ensuring that any recommendations for improvement suggested in the year prior have been incorporated).
  • Providers seeking permission to deliver VCE VM studies must also include VET program advice and Eligible Learning Program forms

The provider submits:

  • Curriculum and assessment plans for all Units 3 and 4 studies planned for delivery (including VCE VM studies).
  • Curriculum and assessment plans for any new Unit 1 and 2 studies that have not been applied for previously (including VCE VM studies).
  • Administrative requirements documents (ensuring that any recommendations for improvement suggested in the year prior have been incorporated).
  • Providers seeking permission to deliver VCE VM studies must also include VET program advice and Eligible Learning Program forms

Administrative requirements application form

As part of the permission to deliver the VCE process, providers must give evidence to demonstrate their capacity to manage the administrative requirements of the VCE. The questions asked in the administrative requirements application form have been mapped to the minimum standards for registration and the conditions set by the VCAA under the Education and Training Reform Regulations 2017, Schedule 8.

Eligible learning program

The Eligible learning program form must be completed at each year of the permission process.

VCE Curriculum requirements

The application form for each VCE study contains both an Assessment task plan and a Curriculum delivery plan. All questions must be completed.

 

VET Program Advice

As part of the permission to deliver the VCE process, providers are required to provide evidence to demonstrate their capacity to manage the administrative requirements associated with the provision of VET. 

The questions asked in the VET Program Advice have been mapped to the minimum standards for registration and the conditions set by the VCAA under the Education and Training Reform Regulations 2017, Schedule 8.
