Examination specifications (Version 2, January 2024)
Industry Statement samples (March 2017)
Examination specifications for the VCE VET Dance performance examination make reference to samples of Industry Statements. Samples of Industry Statements are provided for the following styles: classical ballet, cultural, street, contemporary and jazz. These samples provide guidance to students in completing Industry Statements that form part of the Program Performance Sheet to be presented at the examination centre on the day of the student’s scheduled examination. Program Performance Sheets are included in documentation accompanying Student Advice Slips, issued to schools on VASS in Term 3. Note that Industry Statements are not assessed. Their purpose is to enable students to state the style, context and market/audience for each of their solo dances and to make clear to assessors the focus of the dances. Students are reminded that each of the two solo dances must demonstrate a distinctly different style.
