Notice 100 2022

Notice to Schools 100/2022 – 13 July 2022

Last day to withdraw from VCE Unit 4 and scored VCE VET Unit 3 and 4 units of competency

Principals/directors, VASS administrators and VCE, VCAL and VET coordinators

The last day to withdraw students from VCE Unit 4 and scored VCE VET Unit 3–4 units of competency is Monday 18 July.

After this date, withdrawals will only be supported on compassionate grounds where an application has been made by the school and approved by the VCAA.

Withdrawing a student from a VCE Unit 4 study may affect a student’s eligibility to complete the VCE or VCAL in 2022.

Schools should run VCE and VCAL student eligibility reports for students before changing any records. This will ensure that students who intend to complete a senior secondary certificate in 2022 will be able to meet the eligibility requirements.

Schools should also take care when withdrawing students from VCE Unit 4 studies as a late fee may apply if a student is incorrectly withdrawn and needs to be reinstated in the Unit 4 study.

Action required

Principals/Directors, please make sure that VCE Unit 4 or scored VCE VET Unit 3–4 units of competency withdrawals are actioned in VASS by the due date.

Additional information

Refer to Last day for Unit 4 withdrawals 2022.

The VET Assessing Group is used to define which moderation group students undertaking a scored VCE VET Unit 3–4 program will be placed in for the purposes of statistical moderation. Schools should be attentive when selecting an appropriate VET Assessing Group, to not potentially disadvantage students.
