COVIDSafe measures and final preparations for the General Achievement Test
Principals/directors and VCE and VCAL coordinators, teachers and educators
Schools are asked to familiarise themselves with the
COVIDSafe measures for the administration of the 2022 General Achievement Test (GAT).
We also encourage you to go to the
GAT page, which includes links to the GAT rules and sample GAT papers.
Please share the following key points with your students.
Studying for the GAT
- Students do not have to study for the GAT. The questions are based on things students will already know or have learnt throughout school, or things they may have experienced in life.
What students can bring into the GAT
- The GAT is a pen-and-paper test. Students can bring pens, pencils and an eraser.
- Students can bring a scientific calculator and an English and/or bilingual printed (not electronic) dictionary into both sections of the GAT. They are not allowed to bring a thesaurus or combined thesaurus–dictionary.
Actions required
