VCE written examinations observation visits
Principals/directors, VCE coordinators and examination centre coordinators
VCAA-appointed senior project officers may attend your school to monitor the conduct and administration of any VCE written examination. The purpose of these observations is to make sure schools comply with all VCAA requirements for the conduct and administration of VCE written examinations.
Senior project officers will observe procedures before, during and after a VCE written examination, and will complete a report on their visit.
If a senior project officer visits your school, they will initially report to reception and present photographic identification, a Working with Children Check or Victorian Institute of Teaching card, and a letter of introduction from the VCAA.
Senior project officers will follow any centre-specific health and safety requirements, as well as any other requirements, as advised by the centre.
Actions required
Principals/directors, please make sure relevant school staff and chief supervisors are aware that a VCAA-appointed senior project officer may attend their school to observe the conduct and administration of any VCE written examination

Additional information
Principals will be provided with correspondence from the VCAA outlining any concerns raised during the observation and may be asked to respond formally should there be any issues that need to be addressed.
The senior project officer's role is not to assist with the conduct and administration of the VCE written examinations, nor should they be expected to fulfill the role of an additional supervisor or VCAA advisor.
Any concerns with these arrangements should be directed to the Project Manager, Examinations Conduct and Administration.
