Term 3 Professional learning: Applied learning in practice workshops
Principals/directors, VCE, VCAL and VET school leaders and teachers
You are invited to a series of face-to-face professional learning workshops about the implementation of the VCE Vocational Major (VM) and the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) in 2023.
The ‘Applied learning in practice’ workshops will run throughout the state in Term 3.
The workshops are opportunities for VCE VM and VPC teachers to:
- understand the new study designs and advice for teachers publications
- build capacity in applied learning approaches
- develop student-centred and engaging projects connected to the real world and the community
- network with teachers from similar schools.
The workshops will cover all four curriculum areas. There will be two morning sessions and two afternoon sessions. Participants will need to register for each session they wish to attend:
- Morning session 1: Work Related Skills; or
- Morning session 2: Literacy
8.45am–12.30pm, registration from 8.30am - Afternoon session 3: Numeracy; or
- Afternoon session 4: Personal Development Skills
1–4pm, registration from 12.30pm
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
Registrations are open. You are encouraged to register early and please finalise your registration 14 days before the scheduled workshop.

Principals/directors, please identify staff required to attend the ‘Applied learning in practice’ workshops and encourage them to register for these events.
Critical dates
Registrations opened on Monday 4 April. Registrations must be finalised 14 days before each workshop.
