VCE Drama and Theatre Studies performance examinations
Principals/directors, VCE coordinators, and VCE Drama and Theatre Studies teachers
The following are now available:
- prescribed structures and other information for the 2022 VCE Drama solo performance examination
- the prescribed monologues and other information for the 2022 VCE Theatre Studies monologue examination
Please note the following changes to the VCE Theatre Studies monologue examination:
- Students are permitted to portray the gender of a specified character(s) according to the original text or to change the gender of a specified character(s). Refer to item 11 on page 4 of the ‘Guidelines for students and teachers’ in the 2022 examination
- Due to copyright restrictions, the VCAA is no longer able to provide a PDF of the prescribed version of the monologues. Teachers should take careful note of the information and instructions provided in each prescribed monologue to ensure that an accurate version is prepared for students
The assessment period for performance examinations, Languages oral examinations and the VCE Extended Investigation oral presentation will begin on Monday 3 October.
