Student examination/assessment timetables and Special Examination Arrangements advice slips for 2023 VCE written examinations are now available on VASS.
VASS Administrators, please refer to the
VASS guide before producing and distributing individual student examination/assessment timetables and advice slips.
Please discard examination/assessment timetables or Special Examination Arrangements advice slips printed before Monday 4 September 2023.
Emergency Special Examination Arrangements
For students requiring Emergency Special Examination Arrangements due to sudden illness, accident or personal trauma that occurs immediately before or during the VCE written examinations, schools must submit an Application for Emergency Special Examination Arrangements form, available from VASS (SYSTEM ADMIN > Downloads) from Monday 18 September.
New VASS report – Special Examination Arrangements Rest Break Log
A new Special Examination Arrangements Rest Break Log will be available in October from VASS (STUDENT PROGRAM>VCE Reports). The new report allows schools to generate individual student logs.
Derived Examination Score (DES) and irregularity application closing dates
Specific closing dates for submitting a DES application for VCE examinations are listed at the end of the student examination/assessment timetable. A report containing DES closing dates is also available for download from VASS (SYSTEM ADMIN > Downloads).
Action
Principals/directors, VCE coordinators and VASS administrators, please ensure:
- student examination/assessment timetables are produced and distributed to all students
- Special Examination Arrangements advice slips are produced and distributed to students, chief supervisors and school personnel responsible for the administration and conduct of VCE written examinations. Discussions must also take place between school personnel, chief supervisors, student and approved supervisors, clarifiers, readers, scribes or Auslan interpreters. All parties must understand how a student’s Special Examination Arrangements will be implemented
- school personnel are made aware of the closing dates for DES applications.
