Literacy and Numeracy Standards Testing Resit

Following the release of the Literacy and Numeracy Standards results in December 2023, the VCAA will be offering eligible students the opportunity to resit the Literacy and Numeracy Standards assessment.
This opportunity is available for students who complete their senior secondary studies in 2023 and do not meet one or more of the standards or were absent on the day of the 2023 General Achievement Test (GAT).
The VCAA is seeking the support of schools to host and administer the assessment to students who previously attended their school, meet the criteria outlined above and choose to take up the opportunity.
Schools will be provided further information on participating students, hosting and administering the assessment in late February.
All students who continue to be enrolled in senior secondary studies will have a further opportunity to sit the standards assessment as part of the 2024 GAT.

Critical dates
Eligible students will be able to register for the resit via an online registration form that will be available on the VCAA website from 11 December 2023 to 2 February 2024. Registration details will be distributed to students as part of the release of results in December.
The resit assessment is scheduled to be conducted online at 10am Thursday 18 April 2024.
