VCE Literature Study Design update – minor amendment from 2024
Principals/directors, VCE Coordinators and VCE Literature teachers
Unit 3, Outcome 2 (Developing interpretations) in the VCE Literature Study Design (2023-2027) has been updated.
A minor amendment has been made to the description of the assessment task for the Outcome (page 21 of the Study Design).
From 2024, the assessment task will read:
- ‘Part A: an interpretation of the text’s views and values within its historical, social and cultural context.
- Part B: a written response that explores an interpretation informed by a supplementary reading, using a key moment from the text.’
Action
Principals/directors should ensure VCE Coordinators and VCE Literature teachers are aware of this minor amendment to the Study Design.
Critical dates
The VCE Literature Study Design has been updated to reflect this minor amendment and is implementable from 2024.
