Plain English Speaking Award 2023 registrations now open
Principals/directors, Year 10 and VCE English teachers and debating coordinators
Registrations are now open for the Plain English Speaking Award (PESA) 2023 state heats.
This competition celebrates the voices of students and is an excellent opportunity for young people to speak on issues they feel passionate about.
Applicants must have been aged between 15 and 18 years on 1 January 2023.
Teachers can register a maximum of 2 students per school.

- 1 May – registrations close
- 15–26 May – PESA state heats
- 14–15 June – PESA semifinals
- 21 July – PESA state final
