Nominations for the 2023 VCE Leadership Awards close Monday 24 July 2023.
Schools are encouraged to nominate appropriate candidates for the Awards. Nominees must be completing at least two Unit 3–4 sequences as part of their VCE or VCE VM program.
The VCE Leadership Awards recognise VCE and VCE VM students’ participation in their school and local community and highlight exemplary leadership.
VCE Leadership students demonstrate initiative, inspire others, work well in a team, and are committed to making a difference.
The nomination period for the 2023 awards will close 11.59pm Monday 24 July 2023.
Action
Principals/Directors should:
- ensure VCE coordinators and VCE/VM teachers are advised that VCE Leadership Award applications are closing soon
- promote the VCE Leadership Awards widely to students.
Critical dates
- Monday 24 July 2023 – nominations for 2023 VCE Leadership Awards close
- Friday 8 September 2023 – VCE Leadership Awards ceremony

VCE Leaders will be selected in early August 2023. Each Leader will be invited to meet the VCAA selection panel between 14–18 August for a 10–15-minute interview. The VCE Leader of the Year will then be selected.
The VCE Leader of the Year will be announced at the VCE Leadership Awards ceremony at the Treasury Theatre, East Melbourne, on Friday 8 September 2023.
