Training for conducting and administering the 2023 VCE written examinations
Principals/Directors and VCE examination centre coordinators
Registrations are open for the training sessions that newly appointed chief supervisors and school staff responsible for the conduct and administration of the VCE written examinations must undertake before starting in their role.
New chief supervisors who did not attend a training session in May must attend one of the training sessions.
New school personnel responsible for the conduct and administration of the 2023 written examinations must also attend one of the training sessions. New staff must attend this training even if their school has a continuing and experienced chief supervisor.
Schools should also consider their contingency and succession planning procedures by encouraging one or two current assistant supervisors to attend a training session.

Supervisors will be paid $80 to attend training, which will be included in the amount sent to schools for supervising VCE written examinations.
To minimise technical issues, participants are encouraged to complete the training at their school. Where multiple supervisor participants undertake the training at the one location, please advise the
Project Manager, Examinations Conduct and Administration to ensure each supervisor is paid.
Before the training session, participants should test their system to ensure it is set up for the
webinar.
Participants can also test a
video meeting and view
system requirements.
Participants should ask their school for assistance with any technical difficulties.
Participants should not join the training session from a mobile device, as they will not be able to access all the features of the training.
Please enter the session 15 minutes before starting time.
Copies of the 2023 VCE Examination Manual have been provided to schools. Participants should review the manual before entering the session and have a copy with them as they complete the training.
