Plain English Speaking Award 2024 registrations now open
Principals/Directors, VCE and Year 10 English teachers, and debating coordinators
Registrations for the 2024 Plain English Speaking Award (PESA) are open and the deadline has been extended to Friday 10 May.
PESA celebrates the voices of students, providing young people with an excellent opportunity to speak on issues they are passionate about.
Applicants must have been between 15 and 18 years of age on 1 January 2024.
Teachers can register a maximum of 2 students per school.
Action
Principals/Directors should inform VCE and Year 10 English teachers, and debating coordinators that registrations for PESA are open.
Critical dates
- State Heats: Monday 20 May – Friday 31 May
- Semifinals: Thursday 20 June – Friday 21 June
- State Final: Friday 26 July
