Nominations open for VCE Leadership Awards 2024
Principals/Directors, VCE coordinators, VCE teachers, school staff members, and VCE and VCE VM students.
Nominations are now open for the
2024 VCE Leadership Awards. Students undertaking the VCE or the VCE Vocational Major (VM) are eligible to be nominated.
Schools are encouraged to nominate appropriate candidates for the awards. Please note, students should discuss with their teacher/s if they wish to be nominated.
The VCE Leadership Awards recognise the efforts of VCE students in promoting leadership and participation in their school and local community.
VCE Leadership students demonstrate initiative, inspire others, work well in a team, and are committed to making a difference. Nominees may participate in activities associated with the arts, sport, debating and public speaking. They may campaign for social justice, environmental protection and/or fundraising.
The application period for the 2024 awards will close on Monday 22 July.
Action
Principals/Directors, VCE coordinators, VCE teachers and school staff are invited to:
- nominate students who have demonstrated leadership skills during their VCE years
- promote the VCE Leadership Awards widely to their schools and colleagues.

VCE Leaders will be selected in early August 2024. Each Leader will then be invited to meet with the VCAA selection panel in mid-August for a 10- to 15-minute interview, after which the VCE Leader of the Year will be selected.
The VCE Leader of the Year will be announced at the VCE Leadership Awards ceremony, held at the Treasury Theatre in East Melbourne, on Friday 13 September with refreshments following.
