2024 collection of student email addresses
Principals/Directors, VCE, VCE VM, VPC and VET coordinators, and VASS administrators
The VCAA will undertake validation of student email addresses in Term 4 for the following:
- students enrolled in one or more VCE or scored VCE VET Unit 3–4 sequence.
- students enrolled in one or more VCE VM Unit 3-4 sequence.
Student email addresses are collected and used for 2024 results delivery and associated post-results services, including applications for Statement of Marks, Statement of Study Score and Inspection of Examination Response Materials.
The VCAA recommends schools collect student email addresses and enter them on VASS as soon as possible. Before the validation process starts, schools should make sure that existing student email addresses are current and correct for all students listed above.
Student email addresses must be nominated by the student. Some schools prefer the school-issued email address to be used. If this is the case, schools will need to make sure that the school-issued email address remains active up to the end of June in the year following graduation.
Principals will receive an email detailing information regarding student email registration for end-of-year VCE results delivery.
Action
Principals/Directors, please ensure valid email addresses are entered in VASS by the start of Term 4 for all students enrolled in one or more:
- VCE or scored VCE VET Unit 3–4 sequence
- VCE VM Unit 3-4 sequence.
Critical dates
Email address validation takes place from Monday 7 October.
