Accelerando program at the Melbourne Recital Centre
The Melbourne Recital Centre's Accelerando program is designed to encourage and inspire talented young instrumentalists and vocalists.
The free year-long program is open to Victorian Government school students in Years 10–12 who experience geographic, financial or other barriers to accessing high-quality music experiences. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to:
- receive instrumental lessons with leading industry professionals
- access world-class concerts
- participate in music workshops with the highest quality resources and technology
- perform in an end-of-year recital in the Primrose Potter Salon.

2019 Meet Industry Event hosted by PixelEd
This year PixelEd will host the 'Meet Industry Event', which will feature presentations from industry practitioners. Hear what is happening in the creative and digital media industry, help maintain your industry currency and network with Creative Digital Media associates.

Second Australian Psychology Learning and Teaching (AusPLAT) Conference
The second AusPLAT Conference, organised by APS Psychology Education Interest Group, is to be held in Melbourne on Friday 13 September to Sunday 15 September 2019. It is designed to bring teachers of psychology at tertiary and secondary schools together to share new ideas, build the evidence base and plan future directions. Register via the

Teaching photographic narrative and the general capabilities
Teachers of VCE Art, VCE Studio Arts and Years 7–10 Media Arts are invited to attend a professional learning day focussed on the Bill Henson exhibition, The light fades but the gods remain, currently on display at the Monash Gallery of Art.
The day will provide a starting point for teaching and learning activities targeted at photography and its potential to tell stories. Teachers will be provided with strategies to plan practical activities and units of work in relation to the exhibition. This free event, delivered by Stephanie Richter, Education and Public Programs Coordinator, Monash Gallery of Art and Kathryn Hendy-Ekers, Curriculum Manager Visual Arts and Media, VCAA, will be held at the gallery between 10am–4.30pm Wednesday 4 September 2019.
