The videos are available on the Previous Early Years Twilight Seminars webpage.

Online Transition Learning and Development Statement is now open

The Online Transition Learning and Development Statement has re-opened after undergoing system improvements. Some of these changes include:

  • providing an online alternative to the printing and scanning component of the Child and Family sections of the statement
  • a range of improved features, such as a grouping function and introducing autosave.

To support the sector, the Department of Education and Training has developed a range of online resources. In addition, State Library Victoria is conducting face-to-face workshops and providing a support helpdesk. Further details are available on the DET website.

Professional learning workshops

DET is offering free, half-day Transition Professional Learning Workshops in 21 locations across Victoria.

These workshops are designed to support new prep teachers and new early childhood educators (including Out of School Hours Care) to:

  • engage with the Transition: A Positive Start to School initiative and supporting resources
  • understand how the Transition Learning and Development Statement supports continuity of learning to help settle children into school
  • use the connection between the Victorian Early Years Learning Development Framework and the Victorian Curriculum F–10 to support shared language and pedagogical approaches
  • value the importance of multidisciplinary approaches and seek out professional networks.

For the locations, dates and opportunities to register, visit the DET website.
