VCE VET statewide workshops
This month we have been hosting a series of professional learning workshops to support schools and providers to deliver VET. The workshops also provide essential 2023 information updates, including:
- program updates, enrolments and trends
- school-based apprenticeships or traineeships and SWL recognition
- Get VET resources
- VET recognition in the VCE, VCE VM, VPC and VCAL

VCE VET coursework audits
School Coursework Audit Notification emails have been sent to home schools and assessing groups for the 2021 audit of scored VCE VET programs. It is important to follow the instructions included with the email. The home school or RTO identified as the assessing group is responsible for providing the audit material to the VCAA. Audit submissions are due by Friday 25 November.

VCE VET Hospitality 2023
An extension to transition has been granted for SIT20416 Certificate II in Kitchen Operations and SIT20316 Certificate II in Hospitality. The new deadline for transition is 31 January 2024.
Because of this extension, students continuing in 2023 will complete SIT20416 Certificate II in Kitchen Operations and SIT20316 Certificate II in Hospitality and there will be no change to the scored Unit 3–4 sequence in either of these courses for 2023.
New students commencing Hospitality in 2023, as a single course or dual course enrolment will enrol in the new certificates SIT20421 Certificate II in Cookery and/or SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality.

High-level qualifications 2023
Any qualification at Certificate IV or Diploma level is considered a high-level qualification for senior secondary purposes.
Schools or providers planning to deliver high-level VET qualifications in 2023 are reminded that an application must be submitted and approved
before commencing any training.
