Top Designs 2023 opens with additional access resources
Top Designs opened on 24 March at Melbourne Museum. The exhibition showcases the innovative work of design students from across Victoria. This year, 70 works were selected from over 1000 applications.
The studies represented in Top Designs 2023 include VCE Media, Product Design and Technology, Theatre Studies, Systems Engineering and Visual Communication Design, VCE VET Creative and Digital Media, VET Integrated Technologies, VET Engineering Studies and VET Music (Sound Production).
Top Designs will be open until 9 July. Book through the
Melbourne Museum.
This year, as part of a broader commitment to enhance access, diversity and inclusion, Top Designs has introduced an exhibition audio guide in collaboration with Arts Access Victoria for people who are blind or have low vision. Additional resources, including a social story, sensory friendly map, large-format labels and closed captions, are also available for visitors through the
Museum.

Registrations for PESA 2023 state heats open
Registrations are now open for the Plain English Speaking Award (PESA) 2023 state heats. The state heats will run 15–26 May in schools across regional and metropolitan Victoria.
This competition celebrates the voices of students and is an excellent opportunity for young people to speak on issues they feel passionate about.
Applicants must have been aged 15–18 years on 1 January 2023, and teachers can register a maximum of 2 students per school.

Bookings for Top Acts 2023 on 30 May at 7:30 pm are now open through the
Melbourne Recital Centre. This event promises to be a fantastic conclusion to this year’s dynamic Season of Excellence, featuring a number of outstanding performers across different disciplines.
