2023 WorldSkills Australia National Championships – VETiS program
The winners for the 2023 WorldSkills Australia National Championships can be found on the WorldSkills website.
The WorldSkills Australia Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) program is a series of work-simulated projects based on industry standard frameworks designed and administered by practising teachers and industry professionals.
VETiS competitions operate on the same two-year cycle as WorldSkills Australia’s Regional Competitions. The VETiS Regional Competitions are open for students who are enrolled in the first year of a VET course in secondary schools.
To be eligible to compete at a National Championships in a VETiS category, students must be enrolled in a VET course within secondary school the year of the competition.
VETiS medallists from state and regional competitions are eligible to compete against their peers from around the country in the 12 VETiS Categories offered at the WorldSkills Australia National Championships.
The 2023 winners are eligible to compete for Australia in Lyon France in the international WorldSkills competition.

Career Stage Programs offer targeted professional learning for all career stages. Supporting current and aspirational leaders, participants will be guided through their leadership journey, be inspired to have greater impact, and learn to build their capacity, knowledge and skills.
Coaching with Confidence is designed for principals, assistant principals and others in formal leadership roles to develop their ability to coach others in one-on-one sessions to guide best practice in teaching and leadership, learning and operational activities, and to grow leadership capacity through strengthening professional skills.
Connect: Assistant Principals builds knowledge, develops peer networks and transfers learning into practice. Assistant principals have the opportunity to strengthen adaptive leadership expertise and increase ability to effectively solve complex problems of practice to improve teaching, learning and wellbeing in their school.
Leadership Coaching gives principals and assistant principals access to on-demand professional coaching to support them reach new levels of effective leadership and performance. Coaches provide an opportunity for short-term focused support on a strategic priority, specific topic or challenge, and assist in problem solving aspects of individual roles.
Teaching Excellence Program is a one-year program designed to advance professional knowledge and practice for highly skilled teachers from Victorian government, Catholic and independent schools. The program builds teaching excellence through focussing on disciplinary knowledge, practitioner inquiry, responsive pedagogy and dispositions for exceptional teaching.
