Contribute to the revision of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
Early childhood professionals and Foundation – Grade 2 teachers and school leadership are invited to share their ideas on the revision of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) via focus groups and an online survey in early 2024.
The VEYLDF Revision (the Revision) aims to strengthen the existing content of the VEYLDF to make sure it continues to support Victorian early childhood professionals in their work with children and families during a time of significant reform.
For school staff, principals and other early childhood professionals who are interested in participating, please register by 22 December 2023. The online focus groups will be held in early Term 1 and the survey will be issued in early 2024.
‘This is a chance to make sure the VEYLDF is delivering what is needed to support learning and development at a time of major reform in Victoria. We are keen to hear from Early Childhood professionals and Foundation – Grade 2 teachers for the VEYLDF Revision,’ says Lauren Sayer, Acting Executive Director, Curriculum Division.
The VEYLDF Revision will draw on the strengths of the revised national Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) V2.0 while retaining Victoria’s distinctive focus on play-based learning, continuity of learning between early childhood services and schools, and connections across all early childhood professionals.
The VCAA is partnering with the Department of Education and other stakeholders in the Revision. To find out more, go to

We thank the sector for their work and support for Victorian children in 2023 and look forward to collaborating with you in 2024.
