Revised VCE study designs for 2025 implementation
Updated study designs are published online during Term 1 in the year before implementation on the relevant VCE study page. This is to assist teachers to prepare for the implementation of the reaccredited studies from 2025 and must not be used for the 2024 academic year. Revised studies (for implementation from 2025) are now available.

2024 VCAA Consultation Register for VCE Systems Engineering now open
Consultation is an important part of the review and accreditation process for VCE studies. The consultation process is conducted electronically and teachers and stakeholders are invited to participate by joining the
VCAA Consultation Register for the VCE Systems Engineering.
Teachers and stakeholders who have registered for consultation will receive email notification once the draft of the VCE Systems Engineering study design is available online later in the year, and will be invited to respond via an online questionnaire. The study will have a 4-week consultation period. The draft study design and consultation questionnaire will be available on the VCAA website from the VCE Systems Engineering study page.
You will also be given the option to receive email notification of the implementation briefings for the reaccredited study in 2025.
Evaluation of VCE studies online monitoring questionnaire
The VCAA is monitoring the implementation of the following VCE studies in schools and is collecting data to inform the evaluation process of the following VCE studies:
- Agricultural and Horticultural Studies
- Algorithmics (HESS)
- Biology
- Environmental Science
- Geography
- History
- Industry and Enterprise
- Languages: Chinese First Language, Classical Greek, Classical Hebrew, Indonesian First Language, Japanese First Language, Korean First Language, Latin, Vietnamese First Language.
Please provide feedback via the relevant
VCE study page by Friday 17 May (for studies other than Mathematics).
Please note that the VCAA will also be collecting feedback through monitoring questionnaires for VCE Mathematics (Foundation Mathematics, General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics). These Mathematics questionnaires will be available for the second half of Term 2. Schools will be notified when they become available.
