Applications to be an assessor or lead assessor for the 2024 VCE external assessments, including the General Achievement Test (GAT) are now open.
VCE Examination assessors perform a vital role within the VCAA assessment process ensuring all students receive fair and consistent assessment of examinations. Assessment is an excellent professional development activity that is officially recognised by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

- Sunday 17 March: closing date for lead assessor applications for VCE examinations and externally assessed tasks
- Sunday 31 March: closing date for assessor applications for:
- GAT (Sections A and B)
- English
- English as an Additional Language
- English Language
- Literature
- Extended Investigation (Critical Thinking Test, written report and oral presentation)
- Languages (oral and written)
- Music Composition Externally Assessed Task
- Music Inquiry Externally Assessed Task
- Performance
- Sunday 28 April: closing date for all other VCE written examination assessor applications.
