Education State Sample Assessment Programs

Critical and Creative Thinking (CCT) and The Arts

The Education State Targets have been developed by the Victorian government to focus efforts on the range of factors that allow students to develop and achieve their best.

Critical and Creative Thinking (CCT) and The Arts are two of the learning domains that the Government has committed to measure as part of the Education State targets. The VCAA is facilitating the measurement of these two domains through the yearly collection of data from a selection of schools across Victoria.

The following targets reflect the goals of the Education State for CCT and The Arts:

CCT: By 2025, 25 per cent more Year 10 students will have developed excellent critical and creative thinking skills.

The Arts: By 2025, 20 per cent more Year 10 students will be achieving excellence in the Arts.

For further information regarding the full set of targets and measures, see Education State: Target: Learning for life.
